New Findings on Belonging at Work

BLS Research & Consulting was proud to work on the Center for Talent Innovation’s research on belonging at work, which culminated in their newly-released report, The Power of Belonging: What It is and Why It Matters in Today’s Workplace.

The study explored employees’ sense of belonging in their workplace to identify specific actions companies can take to increase feelings of connectedness and inclusion.

Here are 5 things managers can do to foster a sense of belonging among their teams:

  1. Praise team members’ work

  2. Provide regular, honest feedback

  3. Respond to team members’ concerns

  4. Publicly credit team members for their contributions

  5. Empower team members to make decisions
